- We hope to be giving farm
tours late Summer 2009. Please be sure to contact us to make an appointment.
- We have already finished our 2009 orders for chicks, ducklings, goslings,
and poults. Certain breeds are being added to, some are being replaced due to flood or predator (owl & rat) loss,
and we are adding just a few other breeds that are reportedly bred to survive the wet and cold type winters like those here
in the Pacific Northwest. We have learned the hard way, that those breeds and varieties are what we will be using in
order to ensure success for others who are in the same type climate.
- We are rebuilding and redesigning coops and
waterfowl shelters to safeguard against any further losses, so we will also be separating the breeds soon in order to start
gathering purebred fertile eggs as soon as the hens begin laying consistantly.
- Depending
on the economy, we may be selling a certain number of breeding flocks by late summer 2009. Be sure to check back for
availability.
