Our Livestock Guardian Dogs
Italian Maremmas

Please Be Aware :
This breed does not have to be "trained" to be guardians, it is an impressively strong, natural instinct that this breed has been specifically bred for by shepherds and herdsmen for generations in Italy.  Unfortunatley, we have heard of some Maremma breeders telling their customers that even though they have already paid several hundred dollars for their puppy, they will not receive their puppy for several months due to the need for "training" at the seller's farm, and in the intereim, boarding fees need to be paid.  Please be aware of and beware of these these practices that just take your money.

After much research and meeting many kinds of livestock guardian dogs, we overwhelmingly decided upon the Italian Maremma.  This breed's consistant display of calm demeanor, fabulous instinct for guardianship over the livestock, and tireless vigilance in overseeing sick or injured animals under their care had us raving about this breed from the first time we were introduced to it.

Since there was not enough interest AND DEPOSITS for a spring 2008 litter, we will breed in May 2009 for a July 2009 litter.

The pups will be accustomed to all species of livestock and their new babies, to include alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, & cattle.  Your puppy will be ready for pick-up at weaning ( 8+ weeks of age).  Please remember all costs and arrangements associated with trips/transport of the pup(s) are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
